How it works
- 01An empty face earns nothing, but its lease, permit and upkeep still cost money.
- 02Lost revenue per week = monthly rate × 12 ÷ 52.
- 03Lost revenue so far = weekly loss × weeks empty.
- 04Fixed costs are what you pay anyway: ground lease, permit fees, insurance, power and upkeep.
Questions people ask
Why count fixed costs?
Because you pay them whether the face is sold or not. An empty face loses its rate and still costs you its share of these.
Should I cut the rate to fill it?
Sometimes. Compare the weekly loss with the discount. Check like faces nearby before you cut.
