How it works

  1. 01New rate = current rate × (1 + the increase).
  2. 02Gain a month = new rate − current rate.
  3. 03Gain a year = gain a month × 12 × the number of faces.
  4. 04If you price by the four-week period, use 13 periods a year instead of 12.

Questions people ask

How much should I raise a rate at renewal?

There is no single number. Look at what like faces nearby sell for. Then weigh how full you are and how long the buyer has been with you.

When should I tell the advertiser?

Early. Start the renewal talk well before the contract ends, so the new rate is not a surprise.

Does a small increase matter?

Yes. A small raise on many faces adds up. Use the calculator to see the yearly total.

Every empty face is money you already spent.
