DOmedia Review (2026): For Billboard Owners, Pros and Cons

By Gabie Research · Updated Oct 16, 2026 · 8 min read

Short answer

DOmedia is an online marketplace where agencies and brands plan, buy and measure out-of-home ads. If you list there, agencies can find your inventory and send you RFPs. DOmedia posts seller tiers: 0% and 0.5% of contracted media on two, and a quote for the Full tier. It says 2,000+ media sellers use it.

Verdict
A large agency-facing marketplace with published seller tiers, good for owners who want more RFPs and a faster path to contract, but not a CRM and not clear on what its percentage fee covers.
Best for
Independent and regional owners who want agencies and brands to find their inventory, and who answer a steady flow of RFPs.
  • Agencies and brands search DOmedia for inventory and send RFPs. DOmedia says 2,000+ media sellers list there.
  • The sellers page lists Manual at 0%, Data at 0.5% of all contracted media, and Full priced to fit your needs.
  • BillboardsIn is DOmedia's buying site for local advertisers. Sellers set prices and approve every contract.
  • Apparatix users can feed their inventory into DOmedia proposals through a 2023 link.
  • DOmedia's pages give different sales and inventory totals, so ask for numbers that fit your market.

DOmedia is an online marketplace where agencies and brands plan, buy and measure out-of-home ads. If you list there, agencies can find your inventory and send you RFPs. DOmedia posts its seller tiers. Two show 0% and 0.5% of contracted media. The top tier is a quote.

What is DOmedia?

DOmedia's homepage calls it "the leading platform for brands and agencies to plan, buy, and measure OOH media." It is a marketplace. Buyers search for space. Sellers, the media owners, list it.

DOmedia also runs a second site, BillboardsIn. Local advertisers use it to find and book ad space without an agency.

How big is DOmedia?

These are DOmedia's own claims. The pages don't always match.

ClaimWhat DOmedia saysPage
Media sellers2,000+Homepage, sellers page
Brands and agencies10,000+Homepage
OOH assets1.5M+Homepage, platform page
OOH assets (again)1M+Footer, agencies page
Yearly contracted OOH media$2,347,182,921+Homepage
Yearly OOH bookedOver $2.5BSellers page

Share of all OOH dollars25%+Homepage

Two pairs differ. The asset count is 1.5M+ on some pages and 1M+ on others. The yearly total is $2.35 billion on the homepage and over $2.5 billion on the sellers page. Ask DOmedia how many buyers search in your market.

What does it mean to be listed on DOmedia?

Being listed means agencies can find your inventory and ask for prices. Here is the path the pages describe.

  1. You create an account. DOmedia's FAQ says to use the Register button.
  2. You load your inventory data.
  3. An agency sends an RFP. DOmedia says one RFP reaches every matched vendor at once.
  4. You answer with real-time availability. Your reply goes back to the agency's plan.
  5. If the agency accepts, the offer turns into a contract.
  6. On the Full tier, posting instructions are made for you. DOmedia says the vendor is told when they are issued.
  7. Proof-of-install photos and completion reports are kept in one place.

An RFP, or request for proposal, is a buyer's list of what they want. It names markets, dates and budgets. Owners answer with the boards that fit. See proposal.

DOmedia's agency page says buyers get "real-time availability and pricing." So keep your availability current. A stale avail wastes everyone's time.

What does an RFP answer look like?

Here is an example. The names are made up. An agency sends an RFP for four faces near Jackson, Tennessee. Riverbend Outdoor has faces B-114 N and D-031 open for those weeks. The sales rep checks the avails and builds the answer. The rep sends a price and a photosheet.

If the agency says yes, the offer turns into a contract. Then posting instructions follow. This is the work that the Data and Full tiers aim to speed up. The agency's plan gets your answer back without email chains.

What should you have ready before you list?

DOmedia's agency page mentions specs and photosheets, third-party audience data, and real-time availability and pricing. So bring the same things.

  • The size, location and facing of each face.
  • A clear photo of each face.
  • Your rate card.
  • An honest list of open dates.

See rate card and avails.

What are the DOmedia seller tiers?

The sellers page lists three tiers.

The page gives no more detail on the percentage. It doesn't say who pays it or which deals count. Ask for that in writing. The word "fee" doesn't appear on the page.

What does each tier include?

This table shows the main differences, as DOmedia lists them.

The lease tools and availability tracking sit in the top tier only. If you want them, plan for a quote.

Can DOmedia run your direct sales too?

Maybe, on the Full tier. The sellers page lists interactive proposals "for all sales" and contracts made "for all sales." It also lists client profiles, custom proposal templates by client and custom pricing rules. That reads like a sales tool for your own deals, not only marketplace ones.

The page doesn't list a CRM, a task queue or a renewal list. So ask DOmedia to show you a direct sale from start to finish. See our guide to billboard proposal software.

How does DOmedia compare with AdQuick?

Both bring outside buyers to your boards. DOmedia posts its seller tiers and percentages. AdQuick posts no owner prices, per our AdQuick review. AdQuick also sells a sales platform to large owners. DOmedia leans on agency RFPs and a local-advertiser site. You can list on both.

What is BillboardsIn?

BillboardsIn is DOmedia's online buying site for local advertisers. A buyer enters a location, picks start and end weeks, chooses an ad type and sets a budget range. Per the site, print needs four weeks of lead time and digital needs two. The buyer makes a free account to see prices and availability.

DOmedia says 75% of BillboardsIn users have never bought OOH before. It also says sellers set the prices and have the final approval of all contracts. So you keep a say in each deal. The sellers page lists BillboardsIn under the Full tier.

How does DOmedia connect to your other tools?

DOmedia's platform page lists several links.

  • Billing and accounting. It names Mediaocean, FreeWheel and SBMS, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle NetSuite and Intuit QuickBooks. It gives no detail on what the QuickBooks link covers. See our guide to QuickBooks for billboard companies.
  • APIs. Inventory and proof-of-performance APIs are listed for the Data and Full tiers.
  • Apparatix. In November 2023, Billboard Insider reported that Apparatix users could use their stored inventory in DOmedia. A user turns it on in the Apparatix account. It fills proposals for agencies. Operators can review sales that come in through BillboardsIn before media is contracted.

Who is DOmedia for?

  • Owners who want more agency demand. Agencies and brands plan on DOmedia. DOmedia says 65%+ of agency OOH dollars go through it.
  • Owners who answer many RFPs. DOmedia says its tools take you from RFP to contract, automatically.
  • Mixed estates. DOmedia lists billboards, transit and digital screens.
  • Owners who want a small-advertiser channel with final say over each contract.

Think of DOmedia as one more door into your business. Agencies walk through it with an RFP. Local buyers walk through BillboardsIn. Your own reps still bring in the rest. You may want all three doors.

Who is DOmedia not for?

  • Owners who sell mostly direct to local firms. Your reps still need a way to find them.
  • Owners who want a CRM. The pages list no accounts, tasks or renewal queue.
  • Owners who need a clear fee first. The percentage isn't defined.
  • Owners who need lease tools and availability tracking cheaply. Both are Full only.

What should you ask in a DOmedia demo?

  1. What does the percentage cover, and who pays it?
  2. Which tier fits my size, and what does Full cost?
  3. How many agency RFPs came to owners like me last year?
  4. How do my rates and availability stay current in DOmedia?
  5. Can I take my data with me if I leave?
  6. What does the QuickBooks link do?

Is DOmedia worth it?

Yes, for owners who want agency demand. DOmedia says 10,000+ brands and agencies use it. The Manual tier shows 0% of contracted media as posted. That makes a first test easy.

Be clear on two things. First, learn what the percentage means. Second, keep your availability honest, so you only answer RFPs you can fill. And remember DOmedia is a marketplace. Buyers search it. It doesn't go out and find local advertisers for your open faces. The pages we read list no outbound prospecting.
