Spot

A spot is one ad position in a digital billboard’s loop, often 6 to 8 seconds long.

Each spot is one turn in the loop. Sellers also call it a slot. The IAB-led DOOH glossary calls one ad position in a loop a rotation.

OAAA says ads on digital billboards change every 6 to 8 seconds. Lamar reports the same 6 to 8 seconds for its digital boards.

A buyer can take one spot or several. More spots mean a bigger share of voice and more plays per hour.
