Proof of play

Proof of play is a log showing when each ad played on a digital billboard, and how often.

The IAB-led DOOH glossary defines proof of play as logs showing an ad really played.

Some buyers also ask for proof of display, which checks that the ad was really visible. Others want play logs audited by a third party.

OAAA notes that photos are not given for digital billboards. Operators send detailed affidavits or live webcam access instead.
