Digital billboard
A digital billboard is an LED screen that rotates several still ads, each shown for a few seconds.
OAAA says digital billboards show still ads that change every 6 to 8 seconds. Six to eight advertisers usually share one location.
They come in the same sizes as printed bulletins and posters. Ads can change weekly, daily or even hourly, with no vinyl to print or hang.
Digital faces earn more per face. OUTFRONT says a digital billboard earns about four to five times more than a comparable static one.
At the end of 2025, Lamar had about 5,500 digital billboards. They brought in about 33% of its billboard net revenue.
In Gabie
Gabie checks that a digital face’s loop length equals spot length times the number of spots. It checks availability before it records a booking.
