Read direction

Read direction says which side of the road a billboard stands on, from the driver’s point of view.

Picture yourself driving toward the board. If it stands on your right, it is a right-hand read. If it is on your left, across the oncoming lanes, it is a left-hand read.

OAAA calls a board seen across the lanes, on the far side of the road, a cross-read.

Read direction is not the same as facing. Facing is the compass direction the face points.

Buyers ask about read direction because it changes how easy the board is to see. Photo sheets should list it for every face.

Every empty face is money you already spent.
