Extension (cutout)

An extension is a cutout piece that sticks out past the normal edge of a billboard face.

OAAA defines an extension as a cutout area of copy outside the normal frame. Embellishments are related extras: added letters, figures, moving parts or lights.

Extensions help a board stand out, but they cost more to build and hang. They change the sign’s size, so they may need permit approval too.

Every empty face is money you already spent.
